The Greater Union Life Center Inc. is a 501c3 organization geared towards supporting the local West Volusia Community and its residents by promoting healthier living, economic stability, and community engagement through self-improvement. The organization was initially created by the Greater Union First Baptist Church of DeLand, Florida, a historically African American Baptist Church whose vision was to provide community outreach. Since GULC’s creation in 2003, the organization has grown to become a support entity to the greater DeLand community area.
The organization is managed by a Board of Directors who meet quarterly to address the needs of the community and challenges that have risen in the local community. GULC is determined to develop and sustain functioning initiatives to provide a better quality of life for all West Volusia residents.
